If I recall correctly you were discussing bundled editors during the episode; this actually brought to mind a couple of very early games that had built-in editors that allowed custom levels. First off is Arkanoid: Revenge of Doh (1988, http://www.mobygames.com/game/arkanoid-revenge-of-doh) on which I spent countess hours back in the very early ’90s, then there’s Popcorn (Larcal, 1988, http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/popcorn) which was also notable for including a level editor.
I loved this episode! Thank you Anatoly for this great podcast. It brings me back lots of memories 🙂 Also it was great to hear Clint, whose work at LGR I admire.
